One important factor I would want to emphasize is that MANY feelings are incomplete feelings from the past, triggered by a circumstance in the present, but not necessarily appropriate to the present circumstance. The danger in failing to process our feelings is that they will re-assert their heads again & again, where that particular response is uncalled-for, jerking us around like puppeteers, until we process them.
