    I learned that the safety that we seek in this world, is just a metaphor for the true peace and beauty of eternity (which is what we are really looking to reclaim. Here, everything is impermanent, and safety is just an illusion. This is a powerful quote. Reminds us to keep moving. Thanks for posting it. Yaz

    Yes, I suspect Watts had something like that in mind. We get confused about where safety is to be found: we think it’s something we need to seek or create out in the world. But — like a sense of control, or the feeling of happiness — it’s an inside job, something we can create only within ourselves.
